Double Glazing

At External Home Improvements (Fylde & Wyre), we install the highest efficiency 'A' rated double glazed aluminium and uPVC windows, doors, conservatories and orangeries, along with composite doors and bi-folding doors.

With uPVC or aluminium available in a variety of colours, you can be assured that we only fit the best. We continually aim to improve our product range, keeping up with latest technologies such as smart glass.

uPVC Windows and Doors

Our low maintenance uPVC windows and doors offer outstanding thermal insulation with frames available in a wide range of fade free colours.

With multi-point locking, our uPVC windows, doors, french doors and patio (sliding) doors all offer views over and access to your garden, whilst maintaining the security and comfort you'd expect.

Aluminium Windows and Doors

Aluminium windows offer a modern alternative. With slim and elegant sight lines, they're strong, durable and highly resistant to corrosion.

Frames are powder coated, making them fade and flake free. You can choose from a wealth of RAL colours, including metallic, dual colour, textured and the option of having different colours outside and in.

They have an exceptionally long life cycle, but can also easily be recycled at the end of their life or if you choose to replace them, making them an environmentally friendly choice.

Our Approach

At External Home Improvements (Fylde & Wyre), we're happy to tackle projects other companies may avoid, including bespoke replacement casement windows, arched windows, sliding sash windows and leaded replacements to maintain the look of period properties.

If you have sash windows which have become rotten, we can design and fit modern replacements to look like the original to perfectly complement your period property - whether Victorian, Edwardian or even Georgian.

Timber Frame Windows and Doors

Although we typically fit aluminium and uPVC frames, we can also install and repair traditional wooden frames.

If you have high quality existing hardwood frames such as mahogany and they're in good condition, we can usually fit new thermally efficient replacement glass sealed units into them.
