Exterior Wall Coatings

Is your render cracked or blown? Penetrating damp or wet walls? Walls that need painting or a home which is difficult to heat? External Home Improvements (Fylde & Wyre) recommend exterior wall coatings, a low cost and long term alternative to masonry paint.

Available in a number of colours plus a clear coating option suitable for stone and brickwork repointing, our hydrophobic, breathable coatings offer long lasting protection and improve the look of your home.

Facade Coatings

After we've repaired your render and made all surfaces sound, we recommend a ProPERLA® facade coating which will inhibit the future effects of rain, wind and frost and eliminate damp through water ingress.

It creates a waterproof, breathable insulation barrier that helps reduce heat loss and thus your energy bills. Keeping the weather out and the warmth in.

The coating is guaranteed for 10 years and has an expected lifespan of 15 to 20 years.

All the exterior wall coatings we provide are verified by the Energy Saving Trust.

Rendering

We also offer rendering, re-render and pebble dashing services separately too, but would always suggest finishing with an exterior wall coating to protect your home for longer and prolong the life of any work done.

Our Approach

At External Home Improvements (Fylde & Wyre), we believe in a satisfied customer and a job well done. Before applying any coating, we will always ensure all surfaces are in a good standard of repair.

Starting with a pressure wash to remove any loose paint and render, then any remaining damaged render is knocked off and repairs are carried out to cracked or blown render in order to create a uniform surface.

An antifungal wash is then applied, before masking off doors and windows to spray acrylic into the walls to create a waterproof, breathable elastic membrane.

Our aim is customer satisfaction and finding the best solution for your home and budget. For example, if cost is a factor, but you have one wall that is causing you trouble, we can always repair and coat that wall, then return at a later date to do others, matching them in as required.
